Human trafficking affects communities around the world—and it can happen much closer to home than many people realize.
Rotary District 6950 is committed to being part of the effort to prevent human trafficking, increase awareness, support those working on the front lines, and help create safer communities throughout Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, and Pinellas counties.
As People of Action, Rotarians have a unique ability to bring people together. Our members are business leaders, educators, healthcare professionals, nonprofit leaders, public servants, law enforcement partners, parents, neighbors, and community advocates. By using those relationships and the strength of our Rotary network, we can help shine a light on an issue that too often remains hidden.
Our Commitment
District 6950 encourages our Rotary clubs and members to learn about human trafficking, recognize its impact, and identify meaningful ways to become part of the solution.
Our efforts may include raising community awareness, providing educational opportunities, collaborating with trusted organizations and agencies, supporting prevention initiatives, assisting organizations that serve survivors, and helping connect resources with communities where they are needed most.
We also recognize that addressing human trafficking requires expertise, collaboration, and a survivor-centered approach. Rotary's role is not to replace the professionals and organizations doing this important work, but to support, connect, educate, advocate, and mobilize where our network can make a meaningful difference.

No single organization can solve human trafficking alone.
Progress happens when nonprofits, law enforcement, schools, businesses, healthcare organizations, local governments, faith communities, service organizations, and concerned citizens work together.
Rotary has always believed in the power of bringing people together to address difficult challenges. District 6950 is committed to using that same spirit of collaboration to help protect vulnerable people and strengthen the communities we serve.
